Those were weird configurations with the astro-turf/dirt combinations. I recall that as a kid when watching NFL games that were played at Three Rivers, I always wondered HOW could the player uniforms get dirty as if they were playing on a dirt/grass field when the field was CLEARLY astroturf...

I'd forgotten about Busch doing that.

The Comiskey one had to be the weirdest! Glad they came to their senses and restored the field back to grass and dirt! Now if only they could have kept the ballpark itself standing!! I've been to U.S. Cellular - it ain't Comiskey!!
