Blow up the picture enough (where's Antonioni when we need him?) and you can see that the second numeral on the pitcher in question's back isn't a straight line down, as Labine's "41" would require. It curves towards Drysdale at both the top and the bottom.
And there's no bar in the middle, as there would be for Bessent's #46. So that's a "40", and thus Craig. Two HoFers and a pennant-winning manager; not a bad haul for what was originally a shot of a bunch of scrubs. Nice pics.
