People aren't fired for outside violations because of some kind of moral obligation business feels towards the community. They are fired because of "bad" publicity. Which is a silly reason and leads to, as mentioned before, an avalanche of bad decisions. Hollywood actors & musicians do stupid scandalous stuff all the time. And they don't get fired. Know why? Because the people in the studios have never wanted to take on that responsibility. So no one ever calls for them to get fired because they know the studios aren't going to do anything. Thus, they don't have the headache. When the actor is in jail, then they are "fired".
No one's job should govern a person's life when they are off the clock. Period.
