Furman Bisher, the great sportswriter for the Atlanta Constitution, once opined that Bob Morem should have been playing third base for the Washington Senators instead of Cecil Travis. That's high praise, since some would argue that Travis belongs in the HOF.
Bob Morem was on the Senators' spring roster in 1942 and 1946, but never made the big leagues. He topped the .300 mark in five different seasons of minor league ball.
