Veteran SABR research guru Bill Hickman has released his master list of a) everybody who made a major league mid-season roster but did not appear in a game, b) everybody who appeared on spring training rosters 1928-2007 but never played in a regular season major league game, and were that somehow not enough, c) all the non-roster invitees between 1950 and 1999 including the 1995 "replacement" players.

Yeah, the first guy I thought of was Robert "Whitey" Thomson of the 1951 Pirates, who we discussed both
here and on Baseball-Birthdays. Not on Hickman's list.
Still, 35 is a surprisingly large number to miss.
Although I do see he came down on the "yes" side of The Great Billy Cotton Controversy, so that's good, IMO.
