It is hard to tell from your description but it sounds like an error with Achievements we fixed. You could either wait for tomorrow (we try to release another maintenance update) or you could go into your ".data/database" folder and delete the "achievements.dat" file, then start your game and try again. IMPORTANT: if you delete that file, please make sure to have the game closed!
