After opening up the season at the Bell Center in Montreal, the Canadiens travel south to face the Lightning in thier season home opener. Montreal will send G Steve Burris to the nets in his first game of the season while Tampa Bay will have G Guillaume Tremblay
between the pipes. Tremblay recorded 32 wins with a 2.81 GAA and .905 save % last season in 69 games for the Lightning. C Paul Bleecker will start on the 1st line for Tampa. The 40 year old Bleecker is coming off a 20 goal, 54 point season and is in his final year of his contract. At RW former Canadiens forward Rod Dow is starting against his former teammates. Dow had 13 goals and 40 points for Montreal in 79 games last year and got rewarded with a $6.2 M per year for 6 years.... too rich for my blood so we let him go.
