Jim Kern Phillies 1984 Color
For several years in the late 70s Jim Kern was one of the best relievers in baseball. Then, as relievers tend do, he began to slip and slide, moving from the Rangers to the Reds to the White Sox. Something popped in his arm early in 1983, and the rest was just hanging on. A not very good BW photo of Kern with the 84 Phillies surfaced within the past year. Here is another not very good color shot of Kern with the Phils, unfortunately taken from the rear. At least it's in color.
