Missing Player J.B. Young 1892 St. Louis Brown Stockings
I've located a woodcut of J.B. Young who pitched briefly as a 40 year old for the 1892 St. Louis Brown Stockings. This one has been surprisingly elusive, since he resided in Mount Carmel, PA. his whole life and was a prominent citizen. Plus two Mt. Carmel newspapers are easily searchable on newspapers.com, yet despite hours and hours of searching the past few months, it was just a chance search today that found the image. The image appears in the June 24, 1895 Mount Carmel Daily Item.
