Yeah, he should've been willing to accept the entry-level amount. What amount did he sign for with the other team - the correct ELC maximum, or more than that? (And I'm assuming you were trying to sign him the same year he became a UFA, not several seasons late after he turned 25 and got too old for ELC status?)
