There are 4 photos of 1982 10 game big leaguer Jose Barrios in the TV release today. (2 are posted here)

Barrios was in the big leagues for about 3 weeks in 1982 debuting on April 23rd. He never played in any big league games after those 3 great weeks as he finished his career 3-19. 2 of those hits (both off of Randy Jones) came batting 6th and playing 1B in the second game of a DH hosting the Mets on May 2nd.

*Fun fact- Barrios third and final big league hit was off of Randy Jones in a game at the Mets on May 6th...So, Barrios had 3 big league hits and all of them were off of Randy Jones.

Barrios was the Giants 3rd round pick in 1975 from HS in Miami. He began his pro career at Great Falls (Pioneer League) in 1975 batting .277 with a pair of HR and 26 RBI in 47 games. He climbed the ladder over the next 3 seasons and after repeating AA in 1979 he had his best year, to date, for Shreveport hitting 17 HR and driving in 84 while batting .324.

He spent the next 3 seasons at Phoenix (AAA in PCL) hitting 48 HR and driving in 287 runs in that time.

He was released by the Giants in1983 and signed with Baltimore in May hitting 10 HR in 185 AB for their AAA club and that was the last time he played pro ball.
