i've been using service time and notice the 'better' ones do get bumped to the next minor league level. i never paid attention when i used age limits.
some retire and i'm sure some get released - part of my delegation choices in the manager control settings. make sure to cross-reference what you have delegated.
the age things just needs to be set to some standard.... that way the ones that turn "too old" during that season, but after the cut-off date, are handled as "too old - 1" until the new year or whenver it's appropriate.
