George Kazmarek
The Vault, a long time back, spit out a couple of small and out-of-focus pics of this Mets prospect. Today, we get a good one or two of Kaz. Yet another failed first round draft pick for the Mets (and 2nd overall)--albeit from the January (1968) draft. Kaz had a breakout season with Visalia in 1970 and held his own at AA Memphis, but never got beyond Triple-A in his 7-year career. And people wonder why the Mets always draft pitchers #1. Isn't it obvious? The hitters never pan out.
