After 7-1/2 years in the minors (including a terrific 101 RBI season in the Texas League in 1963) Talton got the call and spent half of '66 and all of '67 as a backup catcher in Kansas City. He was also in camp for the Oakland A's in '68 and '69 and there are several shots of him with the "A" cap.
