Pudgy Putnam (1-0/3.52/3 saves/8 G) logged the save with two scoreless frames, pinning the loss on Rooster starter James Long (1-4/3.80)... the Panthers touched him for four runs and seven hits in seven innings... Long fanned four and walked four... Crawford and 1B Alvaro Cavacos (.234/10 RBI) had two RBIs apiece to lead the winners... LF Trip Agarn (.301/17 RBI) hit a homer for Middlefield, his 7th of the postseason and 17th RBI... game six is scheduled for this afternoon at Middlefield Park... game seven, if necessary, will also be played there.
