Jim Hicks 1964
Nothing confused me more as a kid than seeing this unsuccessful first baseman-outfielder appear on his own 1967 Topps baseball card as a member of the White Sox, then on a shared 1969 Topps rookie card as a member of the Cardinals, then again on his own card in 1970 as a member of the Angels.
Not that important, but symbolic of Hicks' odd career. He played in five major league seasons between 1964 and 1970 yet got into only 93 games. He later went to Japan for two seasons with the Hiroshima Carp.
Here's a Dexter of Hicks from '67, and from the '69 "proofs."
