you just need to download a demo version of 17 (it's free). import your 16 game to that. then import that to 18.

Thought I had it, but did not work.

"Continue Game" button is showing my imported league. But when I click it I get a pop up msg stating OOTP cannot load this database because it was created with an earlier version, then suggests I use the import tool.

Then another pop up stating loading failed due to corrupt file or a "save-game" from earlier version.
