The playoff field is taking shape as the Brewster Baseball Association wraps up the 2030 season.
In the Johnson League, the
Montreal Blazers have clinched the Atlantic Division, with a 100-58 record with four games to play. In the Southern Division, the
Las Vegas Hustlers have won the crown, currently standing with the same record as the Blazers.
In the Wild Card race, the
New Orleans Crawdads clinched the fourth and final spot just yesterday. They will join the
Huntsville Phantoms,
Atlantic City Gamblers, and
Jacksonville Hurricanes in the Geoghegan Round of the playoffs.
The Frick League holds a little more excitement at the moment. The Heartland division is led by the unstoppable (so far)
Louisville Sluggers, standing at 112-46.
The race for the Pacific division is yet to be decided, with the
California Crusaders (90-67) holding a 1.5 game advantage over the
Vancouver Mounties (89-69). At 3.5 games behind, the
Seattle Storm (87-71) have an outside shot at the division. All three teams have clinched at least a Wild Card appearance.
The Frick League Wildcard has three (technically four) teams aiming for the two remaining spots. The
Yellow Springs Nine are in the best position at the moment, at 81-77 with a one game lead over 4th place. Right behind them are the defending champion
Long Beach Surfers, struggling through an up and down season at 82-76. At 81-77, the
Des Moines Kernels are just one game behind the Surfers for the fourth and final Wild Card spot. At 79-79 and three games behind LBC, the
Omaha Barnstormers have not yet been mathematically eliminated, though they would have to pass both Long Beach and Des Moines to sneak in.
We'll update you here again after our next sim, taking place on Thursday morning. In the meantime, submit an
application and get to know us. We are currently looking for a GM to take over the Atlantic City Gamblers.
