The Rangers take a few position matchups but again overall look like the underogs once again. But they have held their own as underdogs so far.

Randle gets the Rangers on the board first with an RBI double in the top of the second. Meanwhile, Stanhouse had not allowed a base runner through three innings.

After three: Texas 1 California 0.

The Rangers loaded the bases but failed to score in the fourth. The Angels got their first hit of the game in the bottom of the same inning and went on to take the lead after plating a pair.

The Angels took advantage of an error in the fifth to add another run.

After six: California 3 Texas 1.

Biittner got a two out double in the top of the eighth as the Angels had gone to their bullpen but, one walk later, Don Mincher came in to pinch hit but struck out to strand two.

In the top of the ninth, Toby Harrah singled with two outs and Joe Lovitto at first but Lovitto was thrown out trying to go to third to end the game.
