Not sure which thread this should be in, but, as I'm also pointing out one of those Vault oddities, I'll put it here.

The oddity is that the Vault released images, today, in the MI folder, rather than the KG folder.

This appears to be Randy Marshall, a left-handed pitcher selected by the Tigers in the 33rd round of the 1988 draft (not to be confused with the infielder with the same name). He had a heckuva year in 1990, going 13-0 at Fayetteville, and 20-2 on the season after a promotion to Lakeland. Randy was traded to the Mets in 1992 in the deal that also brought Paul Gibson and made Tigers of Mark Careon and Tony Castillo. After a down season in '91, Randy again caught fire with the Tides in '92, getting the start in the AAA All-Star contest. He dropped off (a lot) in the second half and the Mets released him during the 1993 season. He signed with the Rockies and pitched for their Triple-A affiliate through '94, capping his career with two more seasons with the Tigers AAA farm club in Toledo. He was one of two pitchers who combined on a no-hitter for Toledo in 1996. He got a number of spring invites in the late 90s, but turned most (if not all) of them down, and went into coaching and private instruction.

Randy never pitched in the major leagues, but, according to Baseball-Reference, he was twice recalled, including once with the Mets in 1992, and just failed to get into a game. Honestly, as a Mets fan, I have no recollection of this, so maybe someone who keeps up on the Sharmanites can confirm or deny.
