Catchers

Adan Vergara - 31 years old, 60/60

- Adan was one of three big pickups for us to bolster the lineup. He will pretty much be the every day catcher, and is expected to play a lot. Not only that, but he's well respected and a leader, and fans will come to the ballpark to see him.

Tony Whiteway - 27 years old, 21/21

- Tony had a good spring, so he got the call to be the replacement when Adan needs a break. He's not nearly as strong with the bat though, and he appears to be a little lazy.

Overall Analysis

We've got Adan, and then a whole host of backups, including a couple in the reserves. Basically, it's Adan's team, from the catching standpoint. If he gets hurt, we're screwed.
