Season 5 1916 Oakland Park Gets Revenge!

OAKLAND PARK-Oakland Park completed an amazing regular season (108-54) with a championship over 2 time defending champion St. Petersburg. St. Pete had taken down Oakland Park in the championship series last season, but the Mammoths get their first title.

Where is Oakland Park? Oakland Park is slightly north of Ft. Lauderdale. A booming baseball town with a population that prefers to be outside of the growing city of Ft. Lauderdale.

The Mammoths were led by POTY Award winner Greg Miller. Miller set a record for wins in a season by finishing the season with a record of 30-6! He also sported a 1.89 ERA. Oakland Park also is the home of the league MVP. Pete Pederson hit .323 to claim the league's batting title.

Other notes: The league is considering expanding within the next 3 years. Top cities that are on the list include Ocala, Key West, Naples, and Vero Beach.
