Top 5th- with one man on and two men out, Ian Partridge sends a splitter down the middle to deep left field for his first HR of the tournament! The HR was the second off LHP Marvin Martinez. 3-0 Scotland.

Top 7th- 3B Jack McNeil send a 2 run shot to right center field. Scotland 9-1
Scotland defeats Spain in the opening game of the Baseball World Cup, 9-1. Connor Paterson gets the win, going 5 IP and giving up 1 run, and Paul Brown came in relief and pitched 4 innings of shutout baseball, picking up his first save in the process. Hughes, Partridge, McNeil, and Davidson all homered in their first game of the BWC.
