Being offered a chance to run my own team in the major leagues was not something I could ever give up. When baseball announced Montreal would be paired the Mexico City Monarchs to expand the league I was ecstatic.
Imagine my shock when I got the job as GM.
One problem...they chose not do an expansion draft. I'm totally on my own in this case. Even worse, I only had about a week to throw together the opening lineup and I couldn't even fill a full roster.
This is my Expos at present.
I don't have a full roster even or a minor leagues. Now I just got told my owner wants a winning season.
Yikes, it's going to be a long year.
