Hi,

I was wondering if anybody might have a pic of or a team picture including a pitcher by the name of John Shearer. He played with the Burlington Bees, a single-A team of the Kansas City/Oakland A's from 1967-70 until rotator cuff problems took him out of action. He grew up just over the mountain from me in Carlisle, PA, and he was drafted straight out of Carlisle High School in the mid-60's. After being sidelined, he became a contractor of homes and commercial dwellings in his local area (Carlisle). In fact, he built my Dad's house and where my wife and I are living right now. He told me he came up with Vida Blue, Gene Tenace, George Hendrick, etc., and it just tore his heart out when they went into 3 straight World Series, knowing that he would've been in the thick of it.
