DH = Rest Credit? and DTD on DL?

When a player DH's, does his "rest status" receive a positive "credit", as is generally presumed IRL?

I doubt that real data exists to confirm if a day DH'ing actually provides "rest", but teams certainly work under this assumption. Many will use a full-timer as a DH occasionally under this premise.

So, does anyone know if this is reflected in OOTP? My experience is that it does not. Anyone?

Also, while we're at this, shouldn't a player with a "DTD" injury who is placed on a DL be subject to a potential decrease in the injury duration? The idea being that while on the DL, the player would be focusing on healing/re-habbing. I wouldn't think that this would always apply, but it should at least be a part of the equation, IMO.

Thanks in advance for any input.
