TU STARS TAKE 5TH IN A ROW
It took them 10 innings, but the Tycobbian All-Stars still came away 6-4 winners in the 54th IPA All-Star Classic played at the Palazzo di Sport in Taranto, Ruthlandia... CF Paulo Teixiera (San Alejo) belted the game-winning solo homer off Roger Kostas (Ancona) to give the TU Stars their 5th victory in a row and the 36th overall in the series... Ruthlandia has won 18 times... Tycobbia jumped out to a 4-0 lead after just three innings, but the RU Stars came back with four unanswered scores to tie the game up and send it into overtime... the TU Stars won despite being outhit 12 to 6 and committing three errors... in addition to Teixiera's towering drive RF Toni Kolkov (Red Bluff) slammed a two-run blast... the Ruthlandian All-Stars were paced by RF Boyd Holmes (Valmara) with a two-run double and a homer by C Tuffy Palmiero (St. John)... Teixeiro was voted the game's Most Valuable Player Award.
