Thanks for the pics.
I remember my Uncle Dale Waggoner and my cousins took my Dad & I down to Memorial Stadium in Baltimore on July 20th for a doubleheader with the Angels. BTW, Quintana was on the roster that day but not Dobson. Anyhow, in the 1st game, Nolan Ryan beat Wayne Garland and the O's 2-0 on 5 hits and 8 strikeouts, and then Mike Cuellar took on Ed Figueroa in the nightcap. It was tied at 1 into the top of the 9th and in the Angels' turn, Frank Robinson the DH hit a solo shot to make it 2-1. The bottom of the 9th fell apart for Figueroa, and then with 1 out, Bumbry pinchrunning for Brooks at 3rd and Hendricks the catcher on 1st, Dick Williams came in and took out Figueroa for Dave Sells their closer. With Belanger (the Blade) coming up with 1 out, after a pitch or 2, he hits one over the leftfield fence near the foul pole for a 3-run dinger to win the game for Cuellar 5-2. Maybe it's best for the sake of the 1974 MVP season that I do take Sells out for Quintana...LOL!
Thanks again!
