Starting a historical game for the first time. I've picked 1939 (just to see how Ted Williams pans out really).

I'd like the amateur draft and free agency to kick in as they did in real life. Do I have to do this manually or will it happen automatically?

Can I tick the Am Draft button but set the date to 1965 or will this throw up some issues?
