We got the new engine on Vidal's car and we did something very risky. We build a throw-away engine on which Jenny wanted to try something out... and so that we can get hopefully a BIG jump after the German GP. And we went for it. She talked about a great 'legendary component'. If this does not work, we have thrown away a ton of development time, and we will have to work hard to make that engine reliable.

It is a gamble, but we have to take it. Stay tuned.

The German GP traditionally will be driven near Munich, southern Germany and is a twisty track with lots of braking, lots of acceleration, and lots of medium speed corners, three ares where we at least have marginally improved since the start of the season.

There is rain in the forecast and we need it badly. Strategy wise, we will try to drive most of the practice session on the medium tyre. And we have great idea to get the maximum performance out of Vidal's car...

Lotus driver Jeremy Woodford was seen at a "how to talk to the media" workshop and it seems to have payed off. He was absolutely charming at a sponsorship event with Northern Harbour.

New brakes for Rezzato Corsa. The Italian team got new brakes that pushes their performance past Lotus again.

Panther brought a brand new and shiny suspension solution to Germany, just in time.
