It is cloudy, but the fans would not care if it starts to rain. Rossini flags, Wexler flags, some old Ferrari flags and a whole stand full of Mercedes employees supporting the Silver Arrows of Steinmann, great atmosphere here in Germany.

Uhh, to the racing, most frontrunners start on the soft compound of tyre... brave as that one could be very worn if the rain predictions are true. But those teams are the best in the world, they should know what they are doing right?

Lap 1:
Here come the cars, a big cheer for Wexler and the Steinmann, and the Lotus line up at the back

The red lights are on... one.. two... three... four... five...

AND IT'S LIGHTS OUT AND AWAY WE GO!

CHAPMAN GETS AWAY CLEAN BUT WEXLER HAS A SLOW START... AND SAARINEN AND SHARP GOT IT ALL RIGHT AND DIVE PAST TWO. SHARP LEADS, SAARINEN THIRD. WEXLER GOT IT ALL WRONG AND IS FOURTH.

Sharp won't survive this for long. Chapman is pushing her hard... AND INTO A MISTAKE INTO THE RINDT CHICANE! Harry Chapman is back in the lead and Saarinen slips through for second place! Chapman IS RUNNING AWAY IN FRONT!

Sharp and Holtz pit and the Steinmann crew made a mistake! The wheelnut did not want to move! Holtz loses invaluable time.

And it got even worse for Nina Holtz as Niilo Saarinen in the Rossini takes here for a ride in front of the BMW Arena, nailing her on the inside and almost pushing here onto the wet grass. Brilliant overtake, but a bit too close for comfort for the Silver Arrow.
