Post-Race Analysis: 2016 Canadian GP(12/16)
Well, to sum things up. We had a good strategy, and executed it quite well. Two stopper, great first stint that saw Vidal overtake a number of runners, drive a quick and efficient second stint on the supersoft compound, and did OK in the third stint on the soft.
Problem in this race, a 1-stopper, as done by Schmidt and Surikov on top of the food chain, and Vázquez and Flores further down, was more efficient, and the top 10 runners all finished without too much drama. We could not run a 1-stopper with our chassis and our drivers, the tyres would literally explode on us.
Not much we could do here, and we did not lose anything to Thornton behind or Vélan in front.
And, P13 landed us $100k of sponsorship money by the Golden Tiger Bank!
Development Report:
We will meet for a development meeting regarding the Lotus Type 202 in a couple of days, and I will give you an exact rundown in the next Pre-Race update. But so much, we are planning with a maximum 4-5 new parts (depending on and that's it.
