Pre-Race Roundup: 2016 Australian Grand Prix(14/16)

Lotus Racing:
Engine: 9th
Gearbox: 7th
Brakes: 7th
Front Wing: 10th
Suspension: 9th
Rear Wing: 10th
Overall: 10th

A little walk through, the new front wing we are developing for 2017 would jump us up to 9th already, and we have roughly another month of performance development to go. The 2017 engine is ready, and already better than the 2016 version and the suspension is in production. More small steps, but they will really kick in in 2017.

Three races to go, and another track where rain could have played a role off the table. Yet, racing will be done on this non-permanent racetrack on the south of Sydney, located near a small river and usually home for an interesting race. Lots of slow speed corners do not really suit our car, but acceleration does, and the engine is... good enough.

Maybe we get some lucky rain in in the race... a little shower... c'mon weather gods.

Rumors, Rumors, Rumors
Both Panther and Rezzato Corsa brought a new gearbox to the race. Fascinating that they are still developing for this years car.

Speaking of development, Thornton is determined to not go down without a fight and brought a new front wing and a new suspension to down under. Can they put the heat on Lotus who have stopped car development two weeks ago?
