Pre-Race Roundup: 2017 Qatar Grand Prix(1/16)
Lotus Racing:
Engine: 6th
Gearbox: 7th
Brakes: 7th
Front Wing: 7th
Suspension: 7th
Rear Wing: 9th
Overall: 8th
We went with a new front wing and got a new iteration that got us a little jump in performance already, up to seventh. The front wing will be the component of choice first for a Jenny Whitehouse special, and we will follow that up with the next engine. The key thing this season, we will build TWO Whitehouse parts, one for Iker, one for Jeremy to get both cars up to speed and double the points potential.
Our factory work was based around getting some reliability in the parts of Vidal to enable weight stripping for the first GP and get some additional performance out of his car, hoping that additional performance + reliability through his engineer will land us some points right from the get-go.

The Track:
As it is called, the jewel in the desert was not so kind to us last season as we finished P18 and P19 after some with horrible pace, while Nikolai Surikov managed a surprising win by staying on the right tyre and not requiring major repairs on his car.
With acceleration and front downforce together with a decent engine being key in the twisty and slow corners followed up with straits in Doha, our car should be handy here, but it is the first race, who knows where we stand compared to the other cars.
On the sharp end of the grid, this track could suit the Rossini and Panther more than Steinmann and, via Ruben Agostini, Rossini team principal, they are looking for a win, but given that it is the first race of the season... suprises could be happening...
