Donald Tye pitched for the Cincinnati Tigers in 1936. This photo shows him in the uniform of that team, and it comes from the Green Bay (WI) Press-Gazette of Sept. 3, 1936.

James Riley's book, BIOGRAPHICAL ENCYCLOPEDIA OF THE NEGRO LEAGUES, indicates that a Dan Tye was both a pitcher for the 1936 Cincinnati Reds and a third baseman for the 1930 Memphis Red Sox. I assume that the latter is the same fellow as this Donald Tye.
