The 42 year old Mays got an RBI double in the top of the sixth. Mays later scored on a Hendrick's sacrifice fly.

The Athletics had a runner on first and one out in the top of the seventh and Bill Gogolewski replaced Fife on the mound for the Rangers.
Bando had a two out double in the top of the ninth to give the Athletics 10 hits in the game. But he also left with an injury and was replaced by Steve R Ontiveros.
Final score: Oakland 5 Texas 1.
