2017 British GP(8/16): Live Race Tracker

British GP: Race Ticker
motorsport-live.com
July 16th, 2017
The British fans were a bit depressed after their local hero Harry Chapman finished only second in qualifying, but after sleeping over that result, they turned out in bunches as they know... one pass into the first corner, and Chapman could lead the race!

With Iker Vidal, a known brawler in the midfield, in fourth place, he could mix things up big time like he did in his win earlier this season... but he has Holtz and Margate right behind him...

Lap 1:
The formation lap is on and the cars slowly crawl around the track... and look at that Windsor in third place... Lipponen on the soft tyre! That could mix up things here if he can defend his position.

A short rundown into the first corner, Maggotts as they call it here...

The red lights are on... one.. two... three... four... five...

AND IT'S LIGHTS OUT AND AWAY WE GO!

WEXLER SLOW OFF THE LINE AND HE LOSES THE LEAD TO CHAPMAN AND VIDAL IS ALL OVER HIS GEARBOX... CHAPMAN LEADS THROUGH MAGGOTTS... AND WEXLER GOT IT ALL WRONG AND IS ON THE GRASS!

Chapman leads the race, Vidal is second and two seconds clear of the chasing and fighting pack, and the Rossini ace is down to 17th and fighting in the pack. Has his undertray damage after his big day out in the runoff area?

1. Chapman 2. Vidal +1.9 3. Holtz +4.0
Woodford P16 +9.0

Lap 2:
Monster lap by Wexler! He took drivers left, right and center, including the struggling Lipponen, and was up to 11th.

1. Chapman 2. Vidal +3.6 3. Holtz +4.5
Woodford P17 +16.0

Lap 3:
Faszinating race. The top three streak clear as Margate(P4), Saarinen(P5) and Rodrigues(P6) fight each other.

1. Chapman 2. Holtz +16.7 3. Vidal +21.3
