JUNE 5, 1973
The Rangers are halfway through their 12 game home stand and are 3-3 on this home stand thus far. They have 3 games next against the Yankees. New York won 3 out of 4 at home against Texas but, since then, the Yankees have lost 6 straight. Offense has been the problem for both teams as the Rangers are the only team in the AL with a worse batting average and OBP than the Yankees. Only two teams in the AL have scored fewer runs than the Yankees, with the Rangers being one of them as well.
