The Rangers end their 12 game home stand with a 3 game weekend series against the Red Sox. Boston swept the 2 game series at home between these two teams to begin the month of May. The Rangers need one win to have a .500 record on this home stand. The Red Sox are third in the league in stolen bases. Only two teams in the AL have a worse defensive efficiency than Boston. The Rangers had a runner on first and one out in the bottom of the ninth and Lee was pulled a despite giving up just 1 hit. Bobby Bolin came on and needed just 3 pitches to get Biittner to ground into the game-ending 4-6-3.
