Baseball-Reference stats are sketchy in certain areas. Had you gone to Ralph's
Bullpen Wiki page (link found under the "more" arrow), you'd have found that he pitched in the Mexican League through 1988. He had a helluva season there in 1977 (14-5, 1.78 ERA, 104 hits in 167 innings, 14 complete games including a no-hitter), which no doubt earned him a Non-Roster Invite to White Sox spring camp in '78.
