GET READY FOR SOME BASEBALL !!!
It's the most wonderful time of the year in the Islands... PLAYOFF TIME... the 64 IPA teams have been pared down to the best eight in the divisional battles and now it's survival of the fittest... only one team will survive and in several weeks they will be crowned the Islandian Pro Alliance champion and will receive the most important award of the year in Islandia -- the honored and revered IPA Pro Cup trophy... the IPA postseason playoffs will begin Friday afternoon at four sites across the Islands... in the Tycobbian Union, the Pro Cup winner for the past two years, the Midway Wolves, will be on the road, opening up against the Redbirds in Denton City for the first two games... in the other match-up the White River Rascals are headed out-of-town and will be hosted by the Southport Sun Sox... in Ruthlandian Union action, the Middlefield Roosters will be entertaining the Wynnamac Sundowners and the Grand City Cybercats will travel to play the Far Mountain Redhawks... all series throughout the playoffs will be best-of-seven with the homefield advantage going to the team with the best season record.

In the first round, the Divisional Championship Series will pair up four of the most powerful and highly-touted teams... the team with the best record Middlefield (105-49) has to go up against its arch-rival Wynnamac (96-58) in the Ruthlandian Union and Midway (98-56) must tangle with Denton City (99-55), which posted the best record in the Tycobbian Union... chances are the IPA overall titlewinner will come from this elite group... the Southport Sun Sox (99-56) just might have a say in it, too... but they open against a lesser-regarded opponent, the White River Rascals (83-72).
