Last night, the Rangers overcame 5 errors to extend their winning streak to 4 games and ended the White Sox 4 game winning streak. Once again, it was one of their rookie pitchers leading the way. Today is game two of the series in Chicago.

In the bottom of the first, Allen hit a 2-run homer.

In the top of the sixth, Harrah put the Rangers in the lead with a 3-run homer. With one out, Ken Frailing replaced Lemonds on the mound for the White Sox. The innning ended with Orta fielding a grounder but then leaving the game with a leg injury. He was replaced by Mike Andrews.

In the bottom of the seventh, Brown tied the game with his 20th homer of the season.
Terry Forster took the mound for the White Sox to begin the top of the eighth. Harrah drew his 40th walk of the season. Forster then struck out Howard for his 60th K of the season.
Broberg walked the leadoff hitter in the bottom of the eighth and was replaced by Paul Lindblad.
In the top of the ninth, the Rangers retook the lead on an RBI single by Billings.
In the bottom of the ninth, Andrews tied the game with an RBI single. Brown then followed with a walkoff RBI single.
Final score: Chicago 5 Texas 4.
