Sometimes, the luck of the draw is just not on your side in the pitching rotation.
For the third straight start, we were on the road against one of the top teams in the league. This time in Palm Springs against the South Division leading Angels.
Why couldn't I draw the Stockton Ports?
No, I got pounded again.
By the end of the second innning, we were down 7-0.
I lasted just 5 innnings again.
It was 9-2 when Skip decided I had been beaten down long enough.
8 hits. 9 runs. 3 walks and just 1 strikeout.
So, that brought me to 0-3 on the road. The Spurs, Bees and Angels had run roughshod all over me. Of course, they were three of the top four scoring teams in the California League.
The top scoring team was the Bakersfield Dodgers.
I hate the Dodgers.
