In the top of the second, the Rangers got on the board with an RBI double by Howard. A walk and hit batter followed and the Rangers had the bases loaded with nobody out. Billings then grounded to short but beat out the double play to pick up the RBI. Mason then brought home a run with a sacrifice fly.

The game was then called in the bottom of the seventh due to bad weather.

In the bottom of the sixth, a 2-run single by Morales gave the White Sox the lead back. Egan singled as well to give the White Sox 10 hits in the game.

In the bottom of the seventh, the White Sox had a runner on first and one out and Horacio Pina replaced Kobel on the mound for the Rangers.
Terry Forster took the mound for the White Sox in the top of the eighth innning.
The Rangers got a base runner in the top of the ninth but Tom Grieve flew out to right to end the game.
