I'm guessing as Commissioner of the Southern League, my name is mud among the owners. I've decided I'm going to stick with 12 teams for a lot longer than originally intended, so prior to the 1961 season I restructured the league back to the original format. One subleague, 12 teams, no divisions. The top three teams make the post season. 2nd and 3rd place teams play in the wildcard round. 154 game schedule, teams play each other 14 times. Yeah, I doubt this format is great for drawing fans to watch the bottom feeder....yay......We're #11.
