...And Tom Seaver annihilates the all-time highest paid player record with a 6 year/$1.538 million deal with the Cincinnati Reds. Holy moley! I think salaries are about to go cuckoo. The Reds signed Seaver on February 8th, and the next day they dumped the player who's about to get paid the 2nd highest salary in 1960 onto the Yankees (CF/RF Mike J Griffin) for a decent reliever and an organizational guy.
