RU, TU GOLDEN GLOVERS ACCLAIMED
Good defenders can make any pitching staff better... defense can be a difference maker in winning and losing... a standout gloveman just might be worth his weight in gold... each year the Islandian Pro Alliance celebrates defense by selecting the top fielders at each position in the Ruthlandian Union and the Tycobbian Union... most of the Golden Glove honorees are youngsters... most of them have not won more than twice in their career... St. John backstop Tuffy Palmieri is the only three-time trophy winner... there was only one rookie to make the teams this year... that was Bayview budding superstar slugger Byorn Karlsen, who had a spectacular rookie season with 36 homers and 106 RBIs... he is also a standout defender at the hot corner.
