They should take part in the draft during the 1960 offseason and get the first picks. Been so long since I've expanded, so I'm fuzzy on the whole process. One thing you could do is add a round or up the number of players imported prior to the end of the season. Once the game brings in the extra players, simply go back to your 5 round draft.
