A bit of controversy tainted the Western League Manager of the Year Award. 45-year old Morrigan O’Lonergan has been the Balmoral Giants’ field manager since their inaugural season. He has led the Giants to two playoff appearances and five above .500 seasons. Balmoral won 10 more games than they did last season that catapulted them from 7th to 3rd place. It was a fine turnaround and O’Lonergan is well-regarded as a manager and well-liked by his players.
However, in some circles, the more deserving candidate was Fort Richmond’s Eugene Rogge, who led the Generals to a first-place finish and their first playoff appearance. But despite overseeing a 15-game improvement over last season and winning the United Cup, Rogge and his staff were shown the door two days after the season ended. A curious reward. Oh well, maybe OOTP19 will allow manual voting for some of these awards?

This is one of the more annoying features of OOTP, not being able to vote for Manager of the Year. In my league, which is going into it's 12th year, it's always the manager of the team with the best record in both leagues. That leads to many similar winners in consecutive years.
Awesome award picks, though I feel like Markus Peyto got robbed on that Babe Ruth award. I feel like his stats seem to be slightly better.
As for HOF, by all means you can skip a year. HOF discussions are one of my favorite things about baseball. I've been reading Jay Jaffe's newest book on it and JAWS. Maybe when you do the voting next season have a little blurb on all the potential candidates and their JAWS, etc?
