June did not start better than May, as we dropped the first 4 games before winning our 5th. The
San Diego Padres finsihed off the sweep with a 6-3 victory.
Louie Meadows, went 2-4 with a HR, while
Walt Weiss,
Ricky Jordan and
Cecil Fielder pitched in doubles.
Bruce Ruffin picthed well, 2 ER in 7 IP, but CL
Ed Nunez give up 4 runs in 1/3 of inning picking up his 4th BS and 3 loss. The
St. Louis Cardinals came to town and pounding our pitching staff for the 1st 3 games, 19-1, 8-7 and 9-2.

Rob Hicks (1 IP, 6 ER),
Steve Howe (3.1 IP, 4 ER),
Michael Jacksons (1 IP, 2 ER),

Rob Hicks was brought up when
Keith Miller went on the DL and was rocked in his debut. The final game of the 4 game series, was a 5-2 win for the Phillies.

Tom Barrett was ejected for charging the mound after getting hit and was suspended for 3 games. i will need to send
